GPs working at scale are central to the plan to transform the NHS. But before general practice can save the NHS it has to save itself.
NHS leaders increasingly acknowledge that large-scale new care models (MCP and PACS) will take time. Meanwhile general practice cannot wait for solutions to problems that can only be solved by finding new ways to work – and better ways to work together.
The new focus is on practices working together at a locality level, collaborating over a population of 30,000 to 50,000.
At this event on 28 March in Leeds we provide the opportunity for general practices and commissioners responsible for supporting primary care transformation to learn from those who already collaborating, including Primary Care Home rapid test sites.
Confirmed speakers include chief executive of Haverstock Healthcare Dr Mike Smith and Dr Stewart Smith from St Austell Healthcare.
