NHS RightCare targets sepsis
The lives of a quarter of the people who die from sepsis each year could be saved, according to RightCare. Around 123,000 cases of sepsis are found each year in England, resulting in nearly 37,000 deaths, 10,000 of which could be prevented. NHS RightCare has produced a scenario following fictional patient Rob, which illustrates how early identification and action in the community could reduce the devastating impact of the condition.
