The real general practice forward view: what practices can do now
As the GP forward view passes its second anniversary, PCC is planning events to help practices understand the practical steps they can take to ease workload and improve sustainability. A workshop in September will hear from speakers with experience of implementing the so-called high-impact actions, including practice manager Sheinaz Stansfield who will set out the benefits to practices and patients of implementing social prescribing and other changes. Dr Steve Kell from the Larwood Health Partnership, which has twice received “outstanding” ratings from CQC, will explain how new clinical roles and a team based approach have enabled Larwood to weather the pressures faced by all practices. The workshop on 4 September in Manchester and 20 September in London is aimed at practice managers and CCG colleagues with primary care development and support roles.
