Primary care networks (PCNs) should hold their own business continuity management strategy in the event of disruption to service delivery. Development of these plans is complex given the increasingly integrated models of care delivery and complexity of dependencies and responsibilities of multiple separate organisations.
PCC has supported PCNs to develop plans through a mix of virtual and face-to-face sessions. The sessions introduce a template business continuity plan and provides opportunity to stress test the plans produced – attendees are provided with manuals with a business continuity plan template which aligns to ISO 22301:2019 as well as NHS requirements.
