PCC are delighted to be presenting at Best Practice Live, a new virtual conference and exhibition, taking place in the afternoons of the 13th, 14th and 15th October 2020.
Incorporating the DDA Annual Conference, the NAPC Annual Conference, Best Practice in Nursing and the Respiratory Show. Best Practice Live is free for healthcare professionals and will welcome over 1,500 delegates from general practice and primary care, for over 60 hours of educational presentations, workshops and panel discussions.
PCC will be presenting on the 14th October at 16.15 on the subject of ‘Leading your practice in the new normal’.
This session will allow you to:
- Reflect on and learn from the leadership experience of the last six months
- Consider the practical changes
- Consider the behavioural changes that have or could happen
- Develop some of the leadership skills to support these changes
Within the session we will consider change theories and how to put these in practice – including Kotter’s steps for change and Lewin’s change theory. These will be related to the practical actions that practices and PCNs now need to take such as agreeing to and appointing a wider multi-disciplinary team through the additional roles reimbursement scheme, gaining buy in and agreement from all involved. We will also look at smaller task related things like managing MS Teams meetings and the behaviour changes such as professionals working from home, changes to patient access and self-care. We will consider what leadership needs to do in this environment – enabling teaming; decisiveness; managing change at pace and personal and organisational resilience.
